Last year at the request of our older students, we took to bigger and crazier adventures and we want to keep the tradition going! The Extreme Excursion is designed to be bigger, more adventurous and dive deeper artistically into the world and art around us.
Last year that included but was not limited to sketching at the best zoo in Texas, visiting Wimberly for glassblowing, artistic escape rooms, rollercoasters at 6 flags, a personalized tour of the art and design of Q2 and even a choose your own adventure day where the artists go to pick locations to explore for a day, from their favorite coffee shops to their favorite art gallery, West Chelsea.
This year we are keeping it closer to home for more time playing, creating and enjoying the Austin specifically. We are taking our best ideas and activities and expanding on them so we have time to really enjoy the whole creative process. From layered resin paintings, to working with glass fusion, to wood burning and many other unique challenges it's going to be an artistic experience to inspire the even the most jaded and experienced teenage artist.
Potential locations may include but are not limited to- immersive art experiences, culture inspiration with theaters, more escape rooms (per students request) and hopefully the chance to explore the park fun in our own backyard at Kalahari Falls just to name a few.
